Bondi Sands Liquid Gold

If you follow my YouTube videos you will know that i have had some real troubles with fake tan in the past. I think i have tried just about every tan out there on the market until a couple of years ago when i suddenly started having allergic reactions to what i can only guess was the DHC ingredient that is in tans. I have been using He-SHi tan which is still a favourite however i had heard from my friend Hannah that Bondi Sands was amazing and i thought i would give it a go to see if my skin would react and the result couldn't of been better.

There is quite a few different formulas that Bondi Sands has within their range but i decided to go for the liquid gold dry oil as my skin gets very dry and thought it might of been slightly more genlt on my skin.

With my first application of a tan i tend to apply slightly less until i know how dark the tan goes, it suggests to spray the oil on the skin and then rub it in with a mitt which it what i did apart from on my face where i sprayed it on the mitt first. The first thing i noticed was the beautiful smell of coconut which occurs throughout the Bondi Sands range, if you know me you know my favourite smell if coconut so it will always have my vote regarding smell. The liquid is brown which is great because you can always tell where you have been or where you need to apply more.

The next day i was absolutely in love with the look and feel of the tan, it made my skin so soft and not remotely dry and it was a beautiful golden colour, which has made me really excited to try the rest of the range, especially as i didn't have a reaction which is a massive plus for me.

You can grab hold of Bondi Sands HERE and let me know if you have tried it. xxx

Molton Brown Alba White Truffle Hand Treatment

As someone who's profession is using their hands a lot i am the worst person ever at looking after them. Time and time again i say i'm going to get better and this and i never do. So this year was going to be different (yeah right, although i have been better).

I love Molton Brown products but always seem to forget about them until i came across this little gem. It smells absolutely divine for a start and is a beautifully rich hand cream that soothes the driest of skin without being greasy or slippery. I find the smallest amount works which means this 40ml tube is going to last me an age.

If you are like me and forget to apply hand cream all the time i find the easiest way to remember is to have this one in your handbag and then another one by the sink, this has really helped me remind myself and i find the best time to apply it is straight after you have washed your hands to lock in moisture.

This one is £14 and you can grab yours HERE . Let me know if you have tried this one and what your favourite hand cream is. xx

St Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub

Last month i made a discovery, i know i'm probably late to the party but i am now officially obsessed with the scrubs from St Ives. I had heard so much about them through blogs and social media etc, so when i ran out of my regular face scrub last month i decided to pick one up.

I went for the blemish fighting scrub as i do tend to break out between my eyebrows and slightly onto my forehead so i love anything that helps to prevent that from happening, i also love a grainy scrub so this one seemed to fit the bill.

The first thing i noticed was the smell, it smells like apricots funnily enough but not in a synthetic way which really puts me off some skincare, especially being on my face. The grains are enough to feel like you have really scrubbed off any dead skin but not rough enough to hurt or make me look like i have been sunburned (you may laugh but this has definitely happened).

Exfoliating my skin is probably one of my favourite parts of my skincare regime and this scrub has become a firm favourite, not only does it do absolutely everything you require from a face scrub but the price point makes it an absolute steal. at £4.19 who could say no? Grab yours HERE and let me know what you think. xx

Topshop Khaki Bomber Jacket

I have wanted this Bomber jacket for a few months and as i received the obligatory Gift Cards for Christmas, it was definitely at the top of my "To Do" List.

I have a similar one in black from H&M that i wear constantly so it;s no shock that this is now firmly part of my wardrobe as it goes with everything!!!!!

I love mixing this with different styles, as you can see from the photo i wear this so much with ripped jeans, it just works. I also love wearing it with an LBD and casual heeled boots or converse to make the dress a bit more casual. I also love dressing the jacket up and adding a faux fur scarf into the mix.

I'm sure you can tell from my ramblings how much i love a bomber, i think the next on my list is a black leather version.

You can get hold of yours HERE and let me know your favourite way to style this jacket.

Elemis Freshskin Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash

When it comes to cleansing in the morning i do love a gel texture, i'm not really sure why i think because it's quite light and fresh so tends to wake me up a bit more, i also don't need anything as rich in the morning as i'm not taking any makeup off. As i am also a massive fan of a good exfoliator as well if i can combine the two......winner!

This one from Elemis Freshskin combines everything i love to use in my morning cleansing routine, it has a soft fruity scent which i put down to the cherry powder, mandarin and jojoba beads, so as it glides over my face i am slightly tempted to lick it (not recommended).

Just a pea sized amount of this cleanses my whole face so no need to go squeezing out half of the tube to feel any sort of effect and after your skin feels so soft and radiant which in my eyes is everything i want from a good face wash.

This is a steal at £13 and you can check it out HERE

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara

One thing i have found i favour in a mascara is a good old comb wand, as i am someone who sits there for ages layering her mascara this has become quite necessary to avoid clumps. I am a massive fan of Bourjois anyway so i was really excited to try put this new mascara.

I have always felt that a wand really makes the mascara and this unique wand with spherical bristles really helps to coat each lash with out any clumping and lots of definition and volume. I really love this mascara and if you haven't tried it yet you need to get involved. If you grab it now you can get it for the cracking price of £6.99 saving you £3, you can get yours HERE

Bare Minerals Stroke of Light

We all know i am a massive fan of a highlighter and in the age of Kim Kardashian it is definitely a word i hear more and more from clients. I discovered the Bare Minerals Stroke of Light about a month ago and totally fell in love with it.

Not only does it come in 4 shades so perfect for any skin tone but it feels so light, you don't feel like you have another product sitting under the eye. It immediately takes anyway any darkness under the eye which seems to be a permanent fixture under my eyes since i was young, but it helps to diminish fine lines and dark circles over time.

If like me you are into a good old highlighter you need to give this a go for sure, i also like using it on the high points of my face to give a dewy look. You can get hold of this for £22 and you can get it from HERE

Elemis Total Glow Body Lotion and Moisturiser

As i total Elemis fanatic, when i received puppies in the post i was thrilled to give them a go and the fact it combines another favourite of mine (tan) i was even more excited!

I have been using the body lotion in the evenings in between tanning to prolong and top it up and then the moisturiser in the mornings to give my face a bit of a glow before applying my makeup. If you are looking for a fake tan this may not be the best product for you, but if you want a nice soft golden glow or like me want something to use in between tanning you need these.

Like every Elemis product they have a nice soft scent which for a tanning product is a nice change (no biscuit smell here) and you have the double aspect of the moisturising factor not just the colour. These do just what i want them to and i absolutely adore them. The body lotion retails at £34.50 which you can check out HERE and the moisturiser retails at £29.50 which you can check out HERE

Top 5 Festival Wardrobe Essentials

Festival season is my favourite time of year, i have been to quite a few different ones and have managed to master the fine art of the festival wardrobe. On my first ever festival i made the big mistake of taking too many clothes that i would never wear and believe me at every festival there is always a very long walk to everything and you have to carry that bag lol.

In this post i thought i would narrow it down to my top 5 essential items to make it easier for all of you lovelies with the upcoming season :-)

Denim shorts are a big must have item in my opinion, they go with everything, they are comfy, you can style them with wellies and a rain mac if the weather gets bad and if you are anything like me then as soon as the summer season starts they are always gracing your body. These ones are mega cute with the crochet detail and the lighter colour makes then oh so summery, they are an absolute steal at £12 and you can check them out HERE

A maxi dress if always a good idea as it's lightweight, simple and great if you fancy looking a bit more dressed up. You can throw this on with a statement necklace and some gladiator sandals or converse and you are ready to go, this cute spotted one is perfect for a festival and the tie waist gives it that feminine shape that is incredibly flattering. This beauty costs £16 and you can grab one HERE

As our weather is so unpredictable you can never tell when we are going to need a slight cover up so a kimono is a must, you can fold it up really small into your bag and shove it when you feel slightly chilly. This one has the cute fringe detail which dresses up any outfit and goes with the boho theme of any amazing festival. For £12 you are getting yourself a summer staple and you can check it out HERE

Bright colours are always a welcome addition to my wardrobe to make me feel happy and bring some light into my life, this t-shirt would work with our denim shorts, a skirt, leggings or even over the maxi dress to create a whole new outfit. Again the lightweight material isn't going to be heavy and will keep you nice and cool in the sun. You can get this for £10 which i think for that price i would grab 2 lol, check it out HERE
And last but by no means least we need something to put on our feet. Everytime i have attended a festival i have lived and died in gladiator sandals, they are comfortable and so easy to throw on with everything,. These colourful animal print ones are my favourite style with a few buckles that add that extra detail to dress up your feet, they are a must have item at £12 and you can get your hands on them HERE

I hope this has helped any of you lucky festival goers this year with ideas for your own essentials and leave me a comment letting me know which bits you got hold of and what festival you are going to :-) xxxxxx

Smashbox Bronze Lights Suntan Matte

When it comes to bronzer i am pretty fussy, it has to be just the right bronze shade with not a lot of shimmer if any, I do tend to stick to a good bronzer when i find one i love and trust.

I'm not sure how i discovered this Smashbox bronzer but i am so glad i did as it has become a staple product in my makeup bag, i use the shade suntan matte and it is the perfect bronze shade with buildable colour so you don't have to worry about being tangoed! I have been using it for this for about 6 months now and i don't think i have even dented the surface.

If you love your bronzer as much as me and are looking for a good one for this summer i highly recommend this gem and if you are i fan i hear that this is Kim Kardashians favourite bronzer.

This retails at £23 which is a complete bargain for the amount you get and you can check it out HERE

HealGel Body

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last year lol i'm sure you have heard me speak about the HealGel range which i love and have everything in the range, as it suggests very healing and light that all of the products are suitable for all skin types.

You can imagine how happy i was when i heard about the new HealGel body, upon application the first thing you feel is how easily absorbed it is into the skin being a lighweight gel it feels a bit more like a serum. It gives you the nourishment your skin needs whilst repairing the skin, it's great for irritated skin or if you are going on holiday it would be fab for sunburn or an after sun product.

Another bonus with this is that it comes in a tube so you can squeeze every last drop out (which of course i will be doing), you can snap this up for £39.50 and you can check it out HERE

Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder

I am a massive fan of a powder that will set my makeup with out looking heavy but i also want it to brighten my skin, is this too much to ask? Apparently not when it comes to the Bourjois Java Rice powder, first of all it smells amazing (and we all know how much of a sucker i am for anything that smells nice) but it looks incredible on the skin. It doesn't change the colour of your foundation which is great for all year round use, it doesn't feel heavy at all and it has the softest sheen to it so it makes the skin look brighter and healthier.

A lot of people can get put off a powder that appears light in colour however it's translucent (no colour) where i think some of the confusion comes from, it's so finely milled that even thought the colour appears light, it doesn't sit in any fine lines or pores so you physically cannot see it once it is on the face.

If you are slightly oily it's fab so have i your handbag to touch up with as it doesn't build layers or cake so this little puppy is all singing all dancing in my eyes.

If this sounds like your dream powder (as it is mine) then you will love the price point of £9.99, what a BARGAIN! Let me know if you love this as much as i do and you can check it out HERE

L'oreal Nude Magique Foundation

As always my product obsession grows by the day and this product has become a slight obsession. I had heard so much about it from U.S Youtubers i was desperate for it to arrive in the UK. I know it has been about for a little while now so i have no idea why i have only had this about a month but i am so glad i purchased it.

Foundation is definitely one thing i like to spend money as i always feel if your skin looks good then the rest of the makeup just kind of falls into place so when i find an amazing drugstore foundation then i am always thrilled. In my opinion the likeness between this and the Chanel Vitalumiere is uncanny.

It has such a light weight feel on the skin yet seems to make the complexion look absolutely flawless, it does have a matte finish but without feeling or looking dry on the skin, if you are slightly dryer like me you probably wouldn't even need a powder to set this as it just look like skin.

I'm sure you can tell i am in love with this foundation and the fact that you can purchase this from Boots is just an added bonus along with the price point of £9.99 as the majority of the foundations i own are around the £30 mark.

Let me know your thoughts on this foundation and if you haven't tried this already then what are you waiting for ;-) Check it out HERE

Bare Minerals

When you think of mineral makeup, there is one name that comes up more than most i have found and of course that is Bare Minerals, but for some reason i have never managed to get my hands on some. I am a massive fan of mineral foundations and this one has definitely been added to my list of favourites.

One of the main things i love about this is how easy and quick it is to apply, you dip your brush into the powder, swirl it around in the lid and then buff it into the skin. It has such a flawless finish and depending on your needs you can two different finishes, Original (which has a slight glow) and Matte. I have been using the original because i like a certain glow to my skin, it almost gives a cream like finish it really is beautiful!

If you don't already, check out my Instagram (JemimaLou) as i will upload a picture soon of how my skin looks using this foundation. This retails at £25 and you can check it out HERE

MAC Prep and Prime Lash

For some reason i am and always have been a real lash person, i think i feel that my eyes disappear without them so i do everything i can to make them stand out and frame my eyes. I have used this product in the past but i had completely forgotten about it until a couple of months ago.

It's really surprising what this does for my lashes i love it, it really thickens and adds volume whilst giving extra length with is everything i want from my lashes. I do curl my lashes a lot beforehand but i do and have done everyday since i can remember (unless i'm being really lazy).

If you love to make the most of your lashes i really recommend this product. It retails for £12.50 and you can check it out HERE

Dior Nail Glow

When it comes to my nails i can be pretty slack at taking care of them which is crazy because they are my money makers ;-), however i have made a conscious decision this year to look after them more and to make them look pretty.

I recently got my hands on the Dior Nail Glow which isn't a new product but it's new to me. The idea behind nail glow is to make the pinks of your nails pinker and the white tips whiter. It definitely makes my nails looks shiny, more groomed, manicured, well looked after and more pink but i'm not sure if the tips look any whiter.

I love this for day when you don't fancy wearing colour and you can always wear it as a base coat and top coat alongside your normal nail polishes. This retails for £18 and you get check it out HERE
